The Museum of Fine Arts Shop features one-of-a-kind pieces crafted by area artisans. Visitors can take home a piece of the museum on post cards, note cards, tote bags and posters featuring reproductions from the galleries. Original jewelry, collectibles, a wide selection of art books and catalogues, and special items which relate to temporary exhibitions are also available.
The shop at the George Walter Vincent Smith Art Museum is stocked especially for children with inexpensive items highlighting the museum's permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The Science Museum Shop carries exquisite Native American jewelry, a selection of rocks and minerals, dinosaur models, decorative arts from Africa, books and science sets, wonderful stuffed animals, telescopes, and much more. This is a favorite place to shop for children.
The Connecticut Valley Historical Museum features books on the history of Springfield and the Pioneer Valley, note cards with images of historic sites and scenes, and genealogy T-shirts and tote bags. A new book, Oh, The Places He Went!, a biography of Dr. Seuss for children, chronicles the life of Springfield's favorite native son. The museum also carries beautifully- illustrated books about traditional decorative arts.
